If you consume alcoholic beverages, the cancer report recommends you limiting consumption to no more than two drinks a day for men and a drink for women.

These modest levels of consumption are associated with risk reductions in cardiovascular disease only among middle-aged and elderly individuals because the cardiac disease is a much larger factor in these age groups.

From a cardiologist's point of view, the drinking age should be around 40 years since any youngster doesn’t get any benefit from it. They simply drive cars into ditches, or worse. Millions of people die each year from alcohol-related conditions and traumas such as car accidents, largely due to excessive alcohol consumption.
