Surprising habits That Can Damage Your healthy Liver



The liver is the second largest glandular organ in our body that is primarily responsible for keeping the body clean by removing harmful toxic substances. Obesity - Excess fat accumulation is directly proportional to liver problems. Being overweight or obese increases fatty substance in the body that ultimately can cause a liver failure. A balanced diet and exercise is the best solution to minimise accumulation of unwanted fats in the body.

Soft Drinks - Liver damage is largely associated with alcohol consumption. However, it has been observed that even non-alcoholic drinks may damage the liver when consumed in large quantities for a long period. It can also increase the chances of diabetes in some cases. Therefore, you should be careful and limit the intake of soft drinks.

Excess of Vitamin A - It has been said correctly that the excess of anything is bad. The same applies to the intake of vitamin A. The health condition that occurs due to the excess amount of vitamin A is called as Hypervitaminosis A. A high dose of vitamin A is known to hinder the normal functioning of the liver.

Antidepressants - Antidepressants have many side effects, including severe liver damage. Antidepressants can increase the levels of liver enzymes that are harmful to a healthy liver. Therefore, patients taking antidepressants should consult a physician about these possibilities and understand the risks it carries.
